At the time of writing it is around 26 degrees Celsius here in Hyde; much the same for the rest of Manchester too. That’s approaching 80 in old money (Fahrenheit). And Saturday seems set for more of the same.
As the team at Intercounty melts in these Mediterranean conditions, the thought occurs that there’s not much rainwater to send down our aluminium gutters today; but this is a good time to get those odd jobs done – better now than in the wet and windy winter!
