Ogee styles are a popular choice in the guttering market, but what is ogee guttering? And what are the benefits of an ogee gutter? Keep reading to find out!
Ogee guttering is a type of Sectional Guttering that features a fluted front edge resembling an ‘S’ shape. This distinctive design makes it easy to identify amongst other gutter profiles – making it a popular choice for period homes, especially those with a more traditional or heritage aesthetic.
Yes! At InterCounty, we offer three types of aluminium gutters in ogee styles. This includes: Special Moulded Ogee Guttering, Moulded Ogee Guttering, and Victorian Ogee Guttering. Read the differences between the three below.
Inspired by traditional nineteenth-century cast iron designs, our high-performance Special Moulded Ogee Guttering is manufactured using a cast aluminium profile and traditional spigot fixings.
Offering an impressive flow capacity, a Special Moulded Ogee gutter profile is the smart choice for buildings situated in areas prone to high levels of rainfall.
Due to the lightweight and durable nature of aluminium, this gutter profile is not only long-lasting, but also low-maintenance. Reducing unnecessary strains on your fascia, as well as negating the need for costly gutter repairs or replacements, our Special Moulded range is designed to last you a lifetime.
Three sizes available:
Derived from one of the oldest gutter designs, Pattern 46, our versatile Moulded Ogee Guttering is made with internal joint connectors to extend the length of the gutter run.
Featuring a decorative, curved gutter profile resembling a ‘D’ shape, Moulded Ogee Guttering is commonly used in heritage buildings and conservation areas due to its traditional aesthetic appeal.
The perfect solution for large-scale commercial and industrial applications, our Moulded Ogee gutter profile has been designed with flow capacity in mind – protecting these types of buildings from leaks, rainwater damage, mould, rot, and more.
Our extruded ogee gutters are suitable for direct fix, or for fascia bracket fixing at a maximum of 900mm centres (with extra fixings where required). Expansion co-efficients are incorporated into the gutter design.
Four widths available:
Resembling a flat, open ‘V’ shape, our heritage-style Victorian Ogee Guttering is an aluminium copy of the nineteenth-century Victorian cast iron design.
Fully interchangeable with existing gutters of a similar section, our adaptable Victorian Ogee gutter profile is more than ideal for repair, restoration, and refurbishment projects. Given the profile’s traditional aesthetic, this range is also well-suited for conservation projects that need to preserve the original character of historic buildings.
Delivering on style and practicality, our reliable Victorian gutter profile offers an excellent flow capacity, ideal for buildings located in areas susceptible to torrential downpours and/or stormy weather.
