When we first started our business, back in the 1980s, seamless aluminium gutters were a rarity. The idea of a gutter that could be rolled out to the full length of a building with no joints was unheard of and seemed impossible. However, a drive around Tameside now reveals that many home and business owners have caught on. The streets of Stalybridge, Denton, Ashton-under-Lyne and the rest demonstrate that people are seeing and opting for the benefits of seamless aluminium instead of other types on the market.
In point of fact, this was just a UK phenomenon at the time: in the USA and Australia aluminium has been the go-to material for gutters and downpipes for decades – way back into the last century. But Britain is now catching up and the seamless solution is now widely known and demanded by the discerning.
Of course, it is not just Tameside that has cottoned-on to this much more efficient product. We cover the whole of the North West, within a 60-mile radius of our base in Hyde, installing gutters throughout Greater Manchester and much of Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire and West/South Yorkshire, and even further afield for special projects. Naturally, the design lends itself well to individual and rows of terraced houses, but it also looks great on modern developments and is big enough for many large commercial applications.
